| | Ayumi Hamasaki - Rainy Day | ] | Well... it's another wonderful morning. ^_^
It feels warm, watching nightfall turn into day... I like the peacefulness, silence of night time when everyone is asleep, it feels like the whole world is mine for a few moments, but I also love watching the sunrise. I wish my heart was like the sunrise, to be so beautiful, such a warm color that changes the night sky into a beautiful golden orange, yellow, red, then forever blue...
Making the best of today, each day... To make tomorrow into a day to look forward to. I am thankful for I that I already recieved. Life is a series of little revolutions, can you feel each passing day, life turns in seasons, so must man... those sho survive winter will find spring with renewed strength. |

I no feel so good. What bugs are growing and breeding in me? I need a miniature Sigourney Weaver to drop in and shoot them up.
Last night was awesome. I actually didn't drink but Steph walked down to the bars to drink with our friend and came back really toasty. She was too funny. She could hardly walk but together her and I got her up a long and winding hilly road to our house, after lots of detours to explore parts of the wall that suddenly became fascinating to her. There may have been singing as well.
Once I got her to the top of the hill she demanded to be allowed to run up and down the stairs (this hill can be climbed by a long, winding road or a couple hundred steep stairs) and I didn't think that was a good idea. So I put her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes and got her the rest of the way home. Then there was another struggle to her to the bathroom and into bed. In the end I sort of collapsed and fell asleep too, despite not having drank at all.
There are sloppy drunks and mean drunks but she was a happy drunk and well, if you dated me you'd need a night of drinking now and then too! It was cute. |

You can take away every single form of animation ever away from me, if it meant that everything animated was to include Dug from the Disney/Pixar movie Up. He reminds me of Sluggie so much. Not a day goes by and I don't think about him. |

Still moving. This is taking far longer than I expected, and I'm starting to get frustrated. I just have to keep telling myself that it'll only be a few more days... a week, at most... I can do this. I can. Soon I'll be living on my own again and I will be content.
I'll have internet and cable on Sunday. I've decided that if we still can't get my bed and desk there by then, I'm buying an air mattress and sleeping on it. I'm paying for rent and heat, I might as well be there to enjoy it... even if I end up sleeping on the floor. XD; Yes, I'm impatient right now. Can you tell?
Other than that, things are going well. The bus will be so much more convenient from my apartment to work, and I'm so excited to see what my new TV stand looks like once it's actually put together. Jen is a sweetheart and not only helped move a bunch of stuff, but she gave me all kinds of things like pretty glasses and silverware and pots and pans... she's wonderful.
So. Anyone want some awesome music? More specifically, amazing video game remixes? I've shared the incredible Time & Space album with a bunch of you, and while checking out the OneUps site I found out about these guys and their fantastic Chrono Trigger album. Which I snapped up right away, because I have no willpower. And it was apparently one of the last copies, because it is now sold out. Yes, I am quite pleased with my spur-of-the-moment purchase. :D
So I'm being generous and I've zipped and uploaded it for anyone that is interested. I know several of you folks will highly enjoy this album. I've also uploaded the Time & Space album, because anyone that is a fan of Yasunori Mitsuda's music must listen to it. Trust me.
Time & Space: A Tribute to Yasunori Mitsuda Bad Dudes: Chronotorious
Need more incentive to check 'em out? This is my favorite track from the Bad Dudes album, and I've been listening to it over and over again since I got it.
And now, an RP meme!

Submitted for your approval, three "bands" consisting of two or less members each. However, do not be deceived by the lack of quantity in regard to the number of musicians, as the musical quality is high and the sound is certainly big.
The performers: Derek C.F. Pegritz, Patricia Wake and Illusion of Joy.
DJ Ding!Bat will also be filling in potential gaps of silence between sets.
The date and time: Saturday, November 7th; 9:30PM
The location: Upstairs at the Z:Lounge in Pittsburgh's South Side.
The cost: no cover to get in, however, attendees must be aged 21 or over.

I don't even think the character of Aragorn makes sense in the damn movie. In the books, before we met him, he was a proud awesome dude who was a badass ranger that travelled alone and fucked up all kinds of evil in the woods, and the only time he wasn't alone was when he was leading armies to kick ass, after which he would return to kicking ass alone, and his bloodline is all awesome and strong and that's why he's supposed to be king, because he's this totally sweet breed of man, and he's not even scared when he tells those undead fuckers that they fucking owe him and they will kick ass in his name.
Also he was 87 in the books when they met him, but only looked 30ish, because he had some elvish blood. He'd been eating orcs for breakfast and shitting them out by lunch for what you and I call a lifetime but for him was like total badass batting practice before game one of the World Total Badass Series.
In the movies he was a pathetic guy! Why would you even want that dude to be your king? His hair was so greasy.
The books really did border on some master race type shit sometimes, sadly, which is uncool when you're throwing entire types of people into ovens in real life but pretty fun when you're talking about epic heroes in a fictional setting. |

I wonder now, will there be a meeting soon of MLB team owners and comissioners, and a discussion of baseball ethics and understanding of the market now that it is the way it is now? The Yankees winning it this year HAS to raise some questions, whether you will admit it or not. |

Some day, it will happen like this: My great-grandnephew will come up to me, stylus in hand. "Gran-nana," he'll say to me, "I gotta talk to an old person for homework, and Granpa says you're older than, I dunno. Rocks, or something." I'll laugh. "Your grandpa Henry's not far off. I knew these here mountains when they were just gravel hills in a saber-tooth kitty's litterbox. So what's your homework?" "Gotta ask 'bout a social issue from back then." He'll consult his screen. "Lessee. Was it really true that gay people couldn't get married?" "True as true," I'll say solemnly. "That's dumb," he'll say, with all the scorn of the young and wise. "Why not?" "Well," I'll say, "I've had a long time to think about it, watching these mountains get big. And I've thought and I've thought, but I gotta tell you, laddie-- I still have no earthly idea." |

| gelatinous cube! |
[Nov. 4th, 2009|11:16 am] |
Jason is playing Blob LaBlob, a gelatinous cube, in Greg's monster game and needed a figure.
A gelatinous cube seemed like a pretty straightforward casting project, so I picked up some clear resin and tried it out. I ended up destroying the mold, which was a bit too thin, so this is a one of a kind gelatinous cube! I'm probably going to try casting a few more, though! I'm not really a huge fan of Castin' Craft's clear resin, but I don't have a scale, and they're reasonably forgiving with their resin+catalyst measurements.
(he liked it)

couple more pics under cut.

Yes I do make a post complaining about the Lord Of The Rings movies every six months or so. I sure do. I think it gets funnier as we get farther and father away from the actual years in which the movies were released. Basically I only have four or maybe five things I ever talk about on here... or anywhere. |
